The old crosses in this former courtyard of the prison mark the symbolic tombs of those who died in this prison. Unfortunately, to this very day, no one knows where they were buried.

According to the testimonies, this was the prison yard. It is not impossible, however, that the group of detainees transferred to this prison on February 14, 1950, including Ștefan, Dory, Mihai and Ion, was also brought through here. It was a particularly cold weather, and the students were forced to undress for a meticulous body search, while they were struck with bats and sticks by the guards.

After a brief menacing speech by director Alexandru Dumitrescu, the detainees were taken to the basement in the quarantine room.
