For example, the sentry supervising Nicolae Purcărea was caught hiding some information and became a victim again. Alexandru Mărtinuș, the head of the reeducation group, asked Nicolae to hit his former aggressor, but he refused, luckily also escaping the beating that would immediately follow the refusal.
