Visit all the rooms in Pitești Prison Memorial. You will start from the Great Union, you will learn about the generation that opposed Communism, how and why they were arrested, about the armed resistance groups, you will go through Pitești Phenomenon together with the 600 students imprisoned here, you will understand the fragility of freedom after the liberation and you will end the tour with the year 1989, a year in which freedom was paid for in blood.

 

In one of the most important rooms inside the former penitentiary, on the first floor, you will find a chapel where religious services are held regularly.

 

At the end of the tour you can buy books, postcards or objects, reminiscent of the political detention.
