In 1951, Stefan Davidescu and other students who underwent the unmasking process in Pitești were transferred to Poarta Albă.

Although he hoped this was a getaway, the warning given by Eugen Țurcanu just before leaving, that it was not over yet and their behavior will continue to be closely watched, brought back the fear of having to undergo the same process again.

Only after the liberation and returning home to his family Stefan Davidescu began healing after the traumatic experience in Pitești.
